Our Story

We are proud to be a small business that is queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent owned. We use our diverse background and experiences to shape our creative process and aim to uplift and support our communities.

At Reverie, we approach each product as an opportunity to reimagine everyday items and to bring new magic into the mundane. Our products are carefully designed to be items people already need and love, but better— beautiful, more durable, and better for the planet.

We're committed to...

👉 Rejecting the culture of overconsumption in which we launch our business.

👉 Creating quality over quantity, ensuring our designs have a lasting place in your life.

👉 Celebrating diversity in all its forms and always keeping intention and inclusivity at the forefront of our processes.

👉 Learning, growing and evolving at each step.

  • Today

We are currently in the concept testing phase of our small business. We’re working to ensure that our current suppliers are on par with our quality and sustainability standards (as much as possible). We know it won’t be perfect, but we’re dedicated to learning from any growing pains we encounter along the way.

  • The Future

We are devoted to re-investing any early profits back into our business, so that we may continue to work towards partnership with suppliers who truly share our passion for durable and sustainable products. As we grow, we will always keep our people and the planet at the heart of everything we do and hope that each future iteration of our products reflects this.

Hi, I'm Sam 👋🏽 (she/her)

Artist & Designer

Thank you for being here! I’m Sam, the designer and dreamer behind Reverie. For the longest time, turning my passion for art and design into a small business that puts good into the world has been my dream. For years, it remained just that – a dream. After a lot of ups and downs, and with the support of my lovely (and talented) partner, I've finally taken the leap. One concept at a time. One design at a time. And I'm filled with hope and gratitude to be able to pursue this.

I’m an avid crafter and a true introvert with a deep appreciation for nature and mindfulness. Being a neurodivergent and queer person of color, I feel strongly about spotlighting and supporting the voices of all marginalized groups in society.

Hi, I'm Kay (they/them)

Co-founder & creative partner

Nice to meet you! While my title sounds kind of fancy, what it boils down to is that I am a driving force in materializing Sam’s lifelong dream of starting a small business. Together, we imagined and created a business which values being intentional above all else!

As a person, I’m corporate by day and dreamer by night, and I’m deeply passionate about inclusivity and fostering connections with people. At Reverie, you can find me managing our social media accounts, writing think-pieces for our blog, or brainstorming ideas for the art you might see floating around :)

WITH GRATITUDE,

Sam & Kay
